Hi, I’m Rafael E. Mendoza.
I started my career at a Fortune 100 company, explaining coverage to members and working through claim denials. I saw firsthand how confusing insurance can be — and how much it matters to have someone who knows how the system really works.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve helped more than 15,000 clients with Medicare health plans, group health, life insurance and retirement income planning. I’ll explain your options clearly and without bias, then help you choose what fits your life.
Outside the office, you’ll find me serving my local church as a greeter and helping at our food pantry. Taking care of people is what I do, in and out of work.

Common questions
Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. Our help is free to you. We’re paid by the insurance companies, and plan prices are the same whether you enroll with us or on your own.
When should I start looking at Medicare?
About 6 months before your 65th birthday is ideal. That gives you time to learn your options before your enrollment window opens.
I’m still working. Do I need to sign up at 65?
It depends on your employer coverage. Getting this wrong can mean lifelong penalties, so it’s worth a quick call to check your situation.
Can I keep my doctors?
We check your doctors and prescriptions against each plan before you decide, so there are no surprises.
